Local access to TMS therapy, delivered with clinical care
Connected Minds TMS was established to make transcranial magnetic stimulation more accessible for those on Brisbane’s northside who need more from their mental health care.
Based in Margate and Caboolture, we provide TMS therapy within a psychiatrist-led framework for individuals seeking a further treatment pathway for depression and other complex mental health conditions.
Our story
Connected Minds TMS was founded by Daniel Houston, a Healthcare professional whose frontline work in acute mental health services over the last decade showed troubling gaps in care.
He saw many individuals who had engaged with therapy, trialled medication and followed clinical advice carefully, yet not experienced sufficient improvement in their mental health.
He saw individuals who did not (yet) meet the threshold for an acute admission but clearly needed more than primary care.
And he also saw a growing body of evidence for transcranial magnetic stimulation and knew it could provide those individuals with a much-needed additional treatment pathway.
Introducing Connected Minds TMS
Some people come to us seeking TMS therapy for depression. Others are exploring their options after medication side effects, persistent anxiety symptoms, or more complicated treatment histories. Each person is carefully assessed by a psychiatrist to ensure suitability for TMS treatment.
With extended opening hours for convenience, Connected Minds is building a strong reputation as a place where TMS can be accessed locally, explained clearly, and delivered within a psychiatrist-led model of care that supports both individuals and referrers.

Our Margate clinic is where Connected Minds began. It’s the ideal place for people from Redcliffe and surrounding communities seeking local access to TMS therapy.

Refer a patient
We welcome referrals from local healthcare professionals keen to offer individuals a new pathway when first-line treatments are not succeeding.
We provide TMS treatment for an initial 35 sessions, which will (in most cases) be bulk billed under the MBS, WorkCover and DVA for eligible individuals .
